There is no excuse for animal abuse of any kind! Which includes shouting at them. Abuse an animal, go to jail or pay a hefty fine! Animals deserve our care and protection. Always! Your animal companion is just as much a responsibility as raising a child.
Please keep in mind…ANIMALS ARE AS INTELLIGENT AS THEY NEED TO BE.
PLEASE! Adopt don’t shop! Shelters are typically always full…so please opt to adopt. Volunteering at the shelters is deeply appreciated as well.

Very skinny and would not make eye contact(it took a week for him to look at me). Been in a cage for three years and never being outside. Week 1 together, he is looking around and not shivering, Week two in getting a bath and walking with a harness and leash(taking five steps and then stopping), even playing chase(runs like a greyhound!! Week three, is now walking with me with no leash but a harness and plays at least once a day and running full power and then sleeps with extra naps during the day….is that normal??

I am a loving dog owner, of a 2 year old Mini Australian Shepherd, his name is Hoss. He is very, very smart! I have had several different dog breeds in my life, but none of them Love me like he does. He has been pretty easy to train, he can set, lay down, come, stay, back up, go around, roll over and kennel. I’m having a couple of concerns though he has separation anxiety, so bad, I need to know more about helping him, the other concern is he’s not that social with other people, especially men.
