Your going from teaching it by raising the hand from nose or paw up to between eyes, then you add a hand signal that is a downward motion, sorry I just don’t get it!
I liked the closed/open fist for ‘drop it’ but don’t see how this is a time out cue🤷

Try removing him from the room, then when he has calmed down bring him back in to the visitor. Then repeat if you get same response until he stops.

Octavia is now my service dog and I love that I can just give hand commands and she reacts. Best training we’ve ever done. Will do this with all future dogs.
